Certificate

GRS 4.0 scope certificate — what it covers

Our Global Recycled Standard certificate is a scope certificate, not a product certificate. That distinction matters: it certifies that our facility and process conform to GRS 4.0, while the recycled content of each individual shipment is proven by a Transaction Certificate issued against it.

Certificate details

Scope certificate IDF-26-1014232, version 1, issued 2026-08-01 by IDFL (Taiwan IDFL Laboratory and Institute) and valid until 2027-07-31. Textile Exchange ID: TE-00118516.

Process category: mechanical recycling (PR0017). Product category: processed post-consumer materials, chips and pellets (PC0035 / PD0085).

Grades in scope

The product appendix lists seven post-consumer grades:

  • ABS — 100% post-consumer
  • PP — 100% post-consumer
  • PC — 100% post-consumer
  • HIPS — 100% post-consumer
  • AS (SAN) — 100% post-consumer
  • PS — 100% post-consumer
  • PC/ABS — 70% ABS + 30% PC, post-consumer

Scope certificate versus transaction certificate

A scope certificate says the facility is certified. A transaction certificate says a specific shipment is. Buyers who need to declare recycled content — for EU packaging rules, brand commitments or customs — need the TC, not the scope certificate.

We issue TCs per shipment on request. Ask for one at the order stage, because retroactive issuance depends on records being complete.

What is not covered

Our flame-retardant ABS grade is produced at the same plant but is outside the current GRS scope, so no transaction certificate can be issued for it. We state this explicitly rather than letting a buyer discover it at the audit stage.

How to verify

Certificate numbers can be checked directly with Textile Exchange at https://www.TextileExchange.org/Certificates. The certificate carries a QR code linking to the IDFL verification service; authentic links begin with https://os.idfl.com.
